Hello BNI Surrey Hills members and followers! This week our feature presentation was from Simon Robert on WPA Healthcare. Here’s a recap of the whole meeting from 13th June, filled with a whole host of engaging presentations.
Feature Presentation: Simon Robert - WPA
In this week’s feature presentation, Simon Robert from WPA took the spotlight with an informative feature presentation on the importance of private medical healthcare and why WPA stands out as the leading provider in this field.
Understanding Private Medical Healthcare
Simon began by emphasizing the importance of private medical healthcare in today’s uncertain times. He discussed the various needs that individuals and businesses have for reliable healthcare solutions that go beyond the limitations of the public healthcare system. From faster access to specialists to tailored treatment plans, private healthcare offers significant advantages that cater to specific needs and preferences.
Why Choose WPA?
Simon elaborated on why WPA has earned its reputation as the number one healthcare provider. He highlighted several key benefits and distinguishing features of WPA’s services:
- Just Health Insurance: “We don’t offer any other type of insurance. We specialise in health insurance, because we are good at it. That’s all we do. No distractions.”
- Purpose & Principals: “We don’t have shareholders, which means that we’re free to act differently from the rest. Our focus is on the service we provide our members and to give the best advice.”
- Exceptional Service: “We have been helping our members for more than 120 years. Our philosophy centres around treating others the way we would want to be treated ourselves.”
- Freedom to Choose: “Choose where, when and who provides your treatment. Unlike some health insurers, we don’t limit who can treat you. Have the freedom to choose what’s best for you.”
Simon Robert’s presentation highlighted the important role private medical healthcare can play and positioned WPA, being the only Which? recommended private medical insurance provider, as the leading choice for reliable and comprehensive healthcare solutions. His informative presentation conveyed the importance of making informed choices when it comes to healthcare.
Education Slot: Andy Green - The Subs Bench
This week, Andy Green delivered our education slot with a presentation titled “The Subs Bench.” Andy emphasized the importance of having a backup plan for your business by building a list of potential representatives who can step in for you when needed. He shared a strategic approach on how to create this plan, who to include, and how to use it effectively.
Andy’s suggested hierarchy for potential representatives is as follows:
- Customer/Client
- Colleague
- Supplier
- Family Member
- Friend
- BNI Member
By following such a heirarchy, you can ensure that your business is well-represented in any situation. Andy’s talk was a strong reminder of the importance of strategic planning.
Best 60s presentation: Simon Cripps - Dancing Cows
Simon Cripps delivered the most memorable 60-second presentation this week, earning him a two-minute slot in next week’s meeting. Simon creatively used videos of dancing cows to promote his marketing company, Smart Cow. His unique and humorous approach captured everyone’s attention and effectively conveyed the fun and innovative spirit of his brand.
